2003 - EMC Foundation

Arlina Espaillat Matos founded EMC with the mission of offering rigorous and humane legal and tax advice. That same year, the firm was selected as the official provider for the Boston Red Sox, creating the MLB Administrative Division to provide specialized tax and labor support to the Major League Baseball ecosystem.

2006 – Innovation in Health Records

EMC becomes a pioneer by launching its line of Health Registrations for domestic and imported food and beverages, a service that sets it apart in the local and international markets.

2013 – Expansion of the team and practice areas

The founder completes her Master's Degree in Real Estate and Registry Law (UNIBE), strengthening the firm's property practice. That same year, Carmen Luisa Martínez Coss joins as a strategic partner, bringing experience in litigation, arbitration, and corporate law.

2015 – Consolidation of the Administrative Division

EMC internalizes its Administrative Division to improve the quality of accounting, payroll, and tax advisory services, strengthening the integration of legal and administrative services.

2018 - Focus on compliance and risk prevention

The firm incorporates certification in Financial Crimes (ACFCS), expanding its scope to risk prevention, regulatory compliance, and protection of corporate assets.

2024 – Comprehensive transformation and boutique positioning

With extensive modernization of its structures, processes, and technology, EMC has established itself as a leading boutique firm providing legal, tax, and administrative services in the Dominican Republic.
